An official source at the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company ( EGAS) said that the company is willing to link 1bf of gas from Noras, Northen Alexandria and Zohr fields during 2017, Al Borsa informed.
The source estimated natural gas needs for power stations by 4bcf/d of gas,24,000t of heating oil and 3 ,000t of diesel during the summer. He also pointed out that there is a decline in power plants natural gas consumption to about 3bcf/d during February instead of 3.2bcf/d during January, as a result of normal air temperature and reduction of operating heating devices.

This comes next to supplying 3,000t of diesel, to fulfill the domestic market needs.
The source also pointed out that EGAS raised its imports from 800mcf/d of gas to 900mcf/d through two boats in El Ain El Sokhna port, with the continuation of pausing the import of 200mf of natural gas through Jordan line.
