The Egyptian Petrochemical Holding Company (ECHEM) and the UAE’s Rega Green Energy Company signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to produce algae oil, which is used in the production of bio-jet fuel and green naphtha for use in the production of environmentally friendly petrochemical products.
The MoU was signed by Saad Helal, ECHEM’s Chairman, and Ramy Bassiouni, Rega Green Energy Company’s President.
The signing took place on the sidelines of the Energy Efficiency Conference and Exhibition in the Petroleum Sector (EPEEC 2022), in the presence of the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla.
