Ducab Contracted for 3 ADNOC Projects

Dubai Cable Company (Ducab) has signed three major contracts for the supply of over 5,000 kms of EHV, HV, MV and LV cables and AAAC overhead conductors to be used in ADNOC-related projects, WAM (Emirates News Agency) reported.

Under the contracts, Ducab will conduct the design, manufacturing and supply of 220kV EHV cables, as well as 132kV High Voltage (HV), a range of medium voltage (MV),  and low voltage (LV) power and control cable systems for the Clean Fuel and Waste-Heat Recovery projects conducted through SAMSUNG-CBI.

Ducab will also supply a complete range of cables to the Bab Integrated Facility Project alongside cables and aluminum overhead from its newly opened DAC factory to ADNOC’s  onshore Qusahwira Field Development Phase II Project.

“We are delighted to be the chosen supplier for the power cable requirements for these projects, as we have invested in developing this full range of cable solutions for the oil and gas sector,” Jamal Salem Al Dhaheri, Chairman of Ducab, said.

Ducab was chosen by ADNOC as a part of its In-Country Value programs which prioritize local manufacturers and suppliers in order to develop local talent  and foster the localization of critical manufacturing operations.
