The Dubai Supreme Council of Energy (DSCE) held a press conference on September 12, 2019, in Cairo, to shed the light on the fourth edition of the Emirates Energy Award 2020, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.
The award’s fourth edition will be organized under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai. The award is placed under the theme of ‘Inspiring Innovation for Sustainable Energy’.
The award, with its 10 categories, aims to encourage individuals, research centers, as well as public and private companies to take part in the award. The award targets attracting innovative work in energy and water efficiency, as well as acknowledging solutions in alternative energy or renewable energy production, sustainability and environmental conservation.
“The Egyptian government, as well as various companies and institutions, have begun the execution of energy sustainability programs to achieve sustainable development. This is also in addition to launching many leading projects regionally and globally in the field of solar power generation,” said Ahmad Al Muhairbi, Secretary General of DSCE.
“By launching the award in Cairo, we aim to attract young people and innovative entities to showcase their projects that contribute effectively to promoting sustainability and creating a sustainable future for future generations,” Al Muhairbi added.
The conference witnessed a great reaction from the audience as individuals were interested to know the details of the award, the categories, and participation requirements.
