Douglas OHI Awarded 2 Contracts in Oman’s Duqm Refinery

Douglas OHI won two contracts to develop the new Duqm oil refinery in Oman, Pipeline Oil and Gas Magazine reported.

Douglas OHI, which is a joint venture between Interserve Group and Oman Holdings International (OHI), was selected by joint venture Técnicas Reunidas Daewoo (TRD) to deliver the process units of the new refinery.

The $42.1 million contracts include civil and underground piping to support the installation of equipment, piperacks, specialist structures, and networks across packages 1 and 2.

“We are proud to be associated with and play a leading role in the delivery of the new refinery, a flagship development for Oman and the Special Economic Zone at Duqm. This project will expand our portfolio of supporting international EPC contractors in delivering industrial projects throughout Oman,” Aaron Hennessy, Douglas OHI’s General Manager said.

The refinery, located in the Special Economic Zone of Duqm, has a production capacity to process around 230,000 barrels per day (b/d) of crude oil.
