The second day of the Egypt Oil & Gas (EOG) 2nd Upstream Operational Excellence Convention was concluded with a series of presentations on health, safety, security and environmental (HSSE) standards.

Attendees witnessed four presentations that tackled different aspects of this important subject, including risk-based inspections for brownfields; the importance of sustainability to achieving operational excellence; promoting HSE cultures within start-up companies; and essential steps to achieving a robust workplace safety culture.

The presentations closed the second day of convention, which also included another technical workshop on asset integrity management, and two strategic panels on joint venture modernization, and service agreements for mature fields.

The 2nd Upstream Operational Excellence Convention is an initiative of the EOG Technical Committee, under the High Patronage of Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum, Eng. Tarek El Molla.
