China’s oil throughput soared by 19.7% in March compared to the previous year, after the refineries has intensified their operations to meet the fuel demand and build up an inventory, Reuters reported.
The data issued by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) indicated that China refined 59.79 million tons of oil in June which is equivalent to 14.08 million barrels per day (b/d). The production of the Q1 of 2021 recorded 174.04 million tons increasing by 16.5% year on year (YoY).
The NBS data also noted that China’s oil production rose by 3.3% to 4.02 million b/d in March compared to the same month of the last year.
