Badr El Din Petroleum Company (Bapetco), headed by Chairman Ashraf Abdel Gawad, has signed a cooperation protocol with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport (AASTMT) in the field of training and scientific research, El Ahram Newspaper reported.

The signing took place during the activities of the Academy’s Industry Advisory Council in its sixth session under the title ‘Development and Excellent Journey, Building Capabilities, and Enhancing Industry and Innovation through Training.’ at the Academy’s main headquarters in Abu Qir.’

This comes within the framework of the oil and gas sector strategy under the leadership of Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, to invest in human resources for the sector’s growth.

The protocol provided that Bapetco provides training opportunities for the academy’s students annually in various fields at the company’s sites to provide the students with practical experiences to qualify them for the needs of the labor market.

Additionally, the academy provides Bapetco’s employees with opportunities to complete postgraduate studies and obtain diploma, master’s, and doctoral degrees in various specialties, as well as the various training programs held at the academy by offering discount rates. Moreover, the academy provides the company with the opportunity to participate in local and international conferences held at the AASTMT, which contributes to providing the opportunity to exchange experiences and achieve optimal exploitation of the scientific and applied potential of both sides.
