Baker Hughes Supports Emissions Reduction, Capacity Building in Egypt

On the sidelines of EGYPES 2024, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla has discussed with the CEO of Baker Hughes Lorenzo Simonelli how the company can expand cooperation with the petroleum sector.

El Molla maintained that Baker Hughes is an important partner to Egypt affirming the sector’s keenness to cooperate with the major international oil companies (IOCs) to implement emissions reduction and building capabilities strategies.

During their meeting, they showcased the proposed areas of cooperation to benefit from the company’s expertise and technological applications in reducing emissions at the production facilities and boosting energy efficiency.

The meeting also touched on the enhancing cooperation in building youth and middle management capacities programs as part of developing and modernizing petroleum sector.
