Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Karim Badawi, called for the swift fulfillment of citizens’ needs regarding natural gas delivery by expediting the review of requests submitted by parliament members. He emphasized that the relevant petroleum sector authorities should address these requirements promptly, overcoming any obstacles to ensure the timely delivery of natural gas to households in targeted villages and areas.

This directive was issued during Badawi’s regular meeting with members of the House of Representatives, which included 13 representatives from the governorates of Qena, Assiut, Minya, Beni Suef, Al-Sharqia, Menoufia, Alexandria, Port Said, Dakahlia, and Kafr El-Sheikh.

During the meeting, Minister Karim Badawi attentively listened to all attending representatives, receiving their proposals and requests, which reflect the needs and requirements of citizens in the various services provided by the petroleum sector, with a particular focus on delivering natural gas to households.

Badawi highlighted that the regular dialogue with parliamentary representatives underscores the ministry’s commitment to maintaining open channels of coordination and communication. He emphasized that Parliament members are key partners in supporting the ministry’s efforts to accelerate production, address challenges, and ensure the petroleum sector continues to provide essential services to the Egyptian people.

The minister acknowledged the vital role of Parliament and its representatives in legislative and oversight functions, as well as in conveying the concerns and needs of the regions they represent.

He reiterated the petroleum sector’s commitment to continuously improve its services to meet the daily needs of citizens in both urban and rural areas. This includes expanding the delivery of natural gas to homes as a clean, safe, and modern service that benefits citizens, facilitating the conversion of vehicles to operate on natural gas, and ensuring the efficient provision and distribution of fuel.
