A new round of leadership transfers and administrative appointments has been launched across several petroleum sector companies to optimize expertise and support organizational growth. Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi issued the decree to fill key positions among assistant chairmen and general managers of administrative affairs.
The reshuffle impacts high-level administrative roles at the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), GASCO, Petrogas, and several other entities. These changes are designed to maximize the benefit of diverse expertise and streamline human resources development across the nation’s energy value chain.
As part of the appointments, Mohamed Sayed Khashaba has been named Deputy Executive Managing Director for Administrative Affairs at EGAS. Khashaba previously served as Vice Chairman for GASCO in 2022, overseeing administrative affairs and human resources development.
At GASCO, Mohamed Salah El Din Mohamed Kamel was appointed Assistant Chairman for Administrative Affairs and Human Resources Development.
The reorganization further includes the appointment of Sameh Mostafa Kamal Serag El Din as Assistant Chairman for Administrative Affairs at the Egyptian Company for Gas Transport and Distribution (Butagasco). Serag El Din previously served as General Manager for Administrative Affairs at SIANCO.
In the offshore and joint venture segments, Wessam Ekram Refki Mahmoud was appointed Assistant Chairman for Administrative Affairs at Amal Petroleum Company (AMAPETCO), moving from a similar role at Alamein Petroleum Company.
The transitions at Alamein Petroleum Company also include Hatem Abdel Wahid Mohamed Riyad, who was named Assistant Chairman for Administrative Affairs after previously serving at AMAPETCO.
Additionally, Hafez Abdullah Hafez Abdel Rahim was appointed General Manager for Administrative Affairs at Alamein Petroleum Company, following his tenure as General Manager for Human Resources at the Egyptian Petroleum Services Company (EPSCO).
In the manufacturing and distribution segments, Alaa Abdel Mohsen Hussein Ghanem was named General Manager for Administrative Affairs at Petrogas, transferring from Misr Petroleum Company.
Additionally, Sherif Samir Fahim Fadlallah has been appointed General Manager for Administrative Affairs at SIANCO, and Osama Salah Mahmoud Lotfy El Wardani has been named General Manager for Administrative Affairs at Marina Petroleum Company.
Badawi’s reshuffle aims to ensure that these seasoned technical and administrative leaders drive the next phase of the sector’s modernization.
