On the sidelines of the ADIPEC 2025 Exhibition and Conference in Abu Dhabi, Karim Badawi, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, met with heads of several major international companies, including Technip Energies, Honeywell, and the Korean National Oil Corporation (KNOC) to discuss cooperation opportunities in the energy sector.
During his meeting with Arnaud Pieton, CEO of Technip Energies, Badawi reviewed the progress of the Assiut National Oil Processing Company (ANOPC) complex, a major project for the production of diesel and high-value petroleum products. It is implemented by Technip Energies in cooperation with Enppi and Petrojet.
The two sides also discussed potential opportunities to strengthen cooperation between Technip and companies of the petroleum sector, with the aim of increasing the presence of Egyptian firms in international markets.

In a separate meeting, Badawi met with Anant Maheshwari, President and CEO of Global Regions at Honeywell, to discuss avenues of cooperation and the application of the company’s latest digital technologies to ensure operational efficiency and high production at Egyptian refineries.
The talks also covered ways to support the petroleum sector’s energy transition goals, reduce carbon emissions, and promote environmental sustainability.

The Minister also met with Dong Sub Kim, President and CEO of KNOC. The discussions focused on expanding the company’s activities and drilling new wells in its existing concessions in Egypt, including South October in the Gulf of Suez and the North Zeit Bay in the Eastern Desert.
