Badawi Honors ENPPI, Petrojet, EMC for ENR Recognition On Sidelines of ADIPEC 2025

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi honored several Egyptian petroleum companies during a recognition ceremony held on the sidelines of Egypt’s participation in the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC 2025).

The honored companies, including the Engineering for the Petroleum and Process Industries (ENPPI), Petrojet, and Egyptian Maintenance Company (EMC), were recognized for their outstanding performance and global achievements after being listed in the 2025 Engineering News-Record (ENR) ranking of the world’s top 250 construction companies.

ENR is a U.S-based publication that provides comprehensive coverage of news, analysis, and data related to the global construction, engineering, and infrastructure industries. Its prestigious rankings assess companies according to their revenues from domestic and international projects, offering a key benchmark for global performance, competitiveness, and industry leadership.

The awards were received by Khaled Ibrahim, Chairman and Managing Director of Enppi; Waleed Lotfy, Chairman and Managing Director of Petrojet; and Mohsen Kotb, Chairman of EMC; Wael Lotfy, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Projects, was also honored for his contributions to this achievement during his previous tenure at Enppi.

Following the ceremony, Minister Badawi expressed pride in the accomplishments of these national companies, emphasizing that their success reflects the Egyptian petroleum sector’s world-class engineering and technical capabilities. He noted that the three companies have become “ambassadors of Egyptian expertise” in international petroleum and energy projects, showcasing the country’s ability to execute large-scale ventures to the highest global standards.

The Minister added that this recognition is the outcome of the Ministry’s continued efforts to strengthen the capacity of Egyptian companies to compete and expand in regional and international markets.

He reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting these leading entities as strategic partners in attracting foreign investment, fostering industrial localization, and maximizing Egypt’s economic returns from participation in global energy projects.
