Assiut Oil Refining Company (ASORC) has won in the major projects category of the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects at the level of Assiut, Red Sea, and New Valley governorates.
The company presented a project focused on the optimal and environmentally safe use of treated industrial water, as well as reducing carbon emissions through the cultivation of jojoba trees. This initiative addresses environmental concerns, climate change, resource sustainability, and aims to find practical solutions to these challenges.
ASORC’s involvement in this project aligns with the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ (MoPMR) strategy, which encompasses a plan for these initiatives, marking a distinctive addition to petroleum projects.
The company received its award during a celebration held last week at the General Diwan of Assiut Governorate.
