The Chairman of Alexandria Petroleum Company, Medhat Bahgat, said that his company is targeting to refine 4.9 million tons of crude oil during the current fiscal year (FY) of 2019/2020, noting that it has already achieved the targets according to the timeline so far, according to a press release.
He elaborated that the company is committed to implement the plans of the petroleum sector and the state to secure the working environment, petroleum cadres as well as the production, adding that the company is preparing a comprehensive evaluation for the oil complex to upgrade it and raise its efficiency, in addition to implementing a number of projects to promote a health, safety and environment (HSE) system in the storehouses and productive units.
This came during the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, visit with several official leaders in the petroleum sector to a number of refining projects in Alexandria in which he reviewed the operational programs of the productivity units and the work environment, in addition to the precautionary measurements posted by the country against coronavirus.
For his side, the chairman of Alexandria National Refine and Petrochemicals (ANRPC) company said that it produces around 4,550 tons of octane 92 and octane 95 and 160 tons of butane in addition to 100 tons of light reformate and 25 tons of hydrogen, pointing to the sufficient naphtha which supports the operational targeted plan.
El Molla praised the efforts exerted by the employees who are working in different sites of production operations, stressing on applying the precautionary procedures and HSE conditions to keep the employees safe and achieve the best secured operations.
