Al Sisi Follows Up National Project for Converting Vehicles to Run on Natural Gas

President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi has reviewed the national project for vehicles conversion and replacement to run on natural gas with the Prime Minister, Moustafa Madbouly, and Ministers of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, Industry and Trade, Neveen Gamea and other Ministers, according to a press release.

Gamea said that the project targets replacing 250,000 cars during the first phase.

During the meeting, President Sisi urged allocating financial incentives to citizens willing to replace their old cars with new ones run on natural gas.

He, also, gave instructions to organize a comprehensive exhibition to support the program in cooperation with the major international companies manufacturing cars.

For his part, El Molla presented his plans and mechanisms to implement the program in alignment with the competent authorities and petroleum companies in Egypt.

The President gave directives to spread the awareness of the project and its benefits especially at the economic, environmental and investing level
