The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has announced opening the first service station in the Dubai Investment Park, Reuters reported.

“We are extremely pleased to have opened in Dubai and to be serving customers in all of the UAE’s seven emirates,” Saeed Al Rashdi, ADNOC Distribution Acting Chief Executive Officer, said.

The service station will be solar-powered, and it will contain a charger for electric vehicles to be recharged up to 80% within 20 minutes.

“We committed to expand our service station footprint into Saudi Arabia and Dubai before the end of 2018. As promised, these initiatives have been delivered, with further network growth to come in 2019″, Al Rashdi added.

The company will distribute its services across Dubai in the upcoming period after launching an initial trial period to raise awareness among consumers.
