Japan to Import Iranian Oil

Japanese traders, including Marubeni Corp and Sumitomo Corp, are looking to resume imports of Iranian oil, potentially by the end of 2016.

Austrian energy company OMV has announced it was ready to resume developing the Cheshmeh Khosh oilfield in western Iran.

Iran will start shipping 300,000 b/d of crude to Europe, 54% of the total it had sent before the European Union's import embargo in 2012.
