Idku Gas Exports Rise to 750 mmcf/d

The Egyptian government is working on exporting around 2 billion cubic feet per day (bcf/d) of natural gas by the end of 2019, according to the Minister of Petroleum, Tarek El Molla.
Egypt plans to increase Idku liquefaction plant's gas exports to reach 1.13 bcf/d in June 2019, compared to the current 800 mmscf/d of gas exports.
The MoP increased amounts of exported gas through Shell’s Idku liquefaction plant to 800 mmscf/d, compared to the 500 mmscf/d at the beginning of 2019.
Future gas exports will include pipelined gas and LNG.
The MoP agreed with its foreign partners to compensate for the plant's halting period by deducting amounts from EGAS' profits from the plants re-operations.

Royal Dutch Shell is currently exporting 300 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscf/d) from its production share in Burullus and Rosetta fields, via the Idku liquefaction plant.
Shell has increased the amount of natural gas exported from its Idku liquefaction plant to 250 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscf/d), up from 150 mmscf/d in the previous fiscal year.
