The Ministry of Petroleum announced that they will install and activate 20,000 prepaid gas meters by H2 2019 in trial operations in Bashayer Al Khair 2 project in Alexandria and Al Asmarat neighborhood in Cairo.
The Ministry of Petroleum is planning to pump around 6.39 billion cubic feet per day (bcf/d) of natural gas to fulfill the average market’s demand during the current year.
Egypt's monthly gas production increased by 500,000 tons in May 2018.
