A study by the Egyptian Center for Economic Studies (ECES) forecasts that due to recent gas discovery, Egypt will be able to double its natural gas production by 2018.
IEOC, a subsidiary of Eni, will extend a 195km pipeline from Zouhr well Block 9 to the city of Port Said, reported Egypt Oil & Gas (EOG). Work on the pipeline will begin with development operations early next year.
