Egypt Secures $17.7b in Funding from Japan

Egypt's President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi held meetings with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe during his state visit to Tokyo in attempt to boost mutual cooperation in the energy, education and development sectors. The countries reached an agreement to provide almost $18b in Japanese funding to Egypt for multiple projects.
