Siemens Egypt has invested around $8.94b in Egypt's energy sector to boost the country’s power generation capacity by more than 50%.

The Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy agreed with Germany’s Siemens to run two electricity production units in the Beni Suef power plant, with a capacity of 800 MW, by November 2016.
