Zohr Produces 12.2 bcm in 2018

Egypt’s Zohr natural gas field produced total of 12.2 billion cubic meter (bcm) in 2018, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.

Russia’s Rosneft, which owns 30% of Zohr’s stakes, announced that the field’s production increased around four times, reaching 3.1 bcm in the second half of 2018, compared to the first half’s output.

In 2018, Zohr’s treatment capacity was increased from 11.3 million cubic meters per day (mmcm/d) to 56.6 mmcm/d, which is the current capacity.

Zohr’s gas production is estimated to reach around 76 mmcm/d by the end of 2019.

The field is currently being developed by Rosneft, Eni, Mubadala, BP and Egyptian holding companies.
