Weir Oil and Gas Dubai signed a multi-year contract with an Iraqi joint venture (JV) for rotating equipment overhaul services, Pipeline Oil and Gas magazine reported.
The contract, worth more than $5 million, supports Weir’s rig-to-grid capabilities in the Middle East.
“We are pleased to support our clients by providing an array of high-quality services, and we appreciate the opportunity to act as trusted advisers when it comes to repairing and upgrading our customer’s rotating equipment fleet,” Ronan Le Gloahec, Weir Oil and Gas Eastern Hemisphere President, said.
Weir Oil and Gas provides in-country service to its clients through centers of Engineering and Manufacturing Excellence that enable the company to manufacture and distribute rotating equipment parts faster due to its proximity to operators in the region.
“Combined with our state-of-the-art facility and in-country engineering expertise, this renewed contract will support this organization’s operations for years to come,” Le Gloahec added.
