The Romanian Transgaz Company indicated interest in establishing a factory in Egypt. The company’s expression of interest follows its meeting with Sahar Nasr, Egyptian Minister of Investments and International Cooperation, during her visit to Bucharest for the Egyptian- Romanian Joint Committee for Economic and Scientific Cooperation, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.
Transgaz agreed to send a delegation to Egypt to meet with the minister and the appropriate ministries, according to a statement by the ministry.
Nasr also met with Romanian Deputy Prime Minister, Gratiela Gavrilescu. The two agreed to create a joint mechanism to foster economic relations between the two countries.
Gavrilescu praised Egypt’s economic reforms—particularly the government’s efforts to enhance the investment climate—and noted that “Romanian companies are keen on investing in Egypt.”
Transgaz is a Romanian company that specializes in the transmission and distribution of natural gas.
