The Egyptian Company for Natural Gas Distribution (Town Gas) delivered natural gas to 150,000 housing units during H1 2019, according to an official source in Town Gas, Amwal Al Ghad reported.

The company succeeded in increasing the installed contracts with a rate of 135% to reach 350,000 consumers.

The company’s plan during 2019 aims to replace butane cylinders with 300,000 natural gas units through the projects’ and operations’ management.

The company will install 100,000 units in Alexandria, 90,000 in Cairo and Giza, and around 20,000 in Port Said and Ismailia, according to the source.

The source declared some requirements that must be met before installing the units, like for the area to be close to the main source of supply where the street isn’t less that 3 meters wide, the buildings to be in a good state and the bathroom’s space isn’t less than 6 square meters.
