Tharwa Petroleum Company plans to produce 7,250 barrels per day (b/d) in 2019 by drilling six exploratory wells and five development wells, said Selim El Srougy, Chairman and Managing Director of the company, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.
The company succeeded in 2018 to increase exploratory and development drilling in its concession areas in East Abu Senan; Siwa; Horus; West Eish El Melaha Extension, and Noor Concession, El Serougy noted.
In 2018, Tharwa Petroleum drilled eight exploratory wells and seven development wells, which boosted petroleum reserves to 2.3 million barrels and production rates to 6,000 b/d, El Serougy pointed out.
The company recorded total of 624,800 working hours without lost time, injuries or deaths, El Serougy’s stated at the general assembly chaired by Minister of Petroleum, Tarek El Molla, to review the company’s 2018 results.
