Cairo’s historic Abdeen Palace was once again brought to life as TAQA celebrated its 20th anniversary in the presence of many industry professionals and leaders from the regional energy sector.

The elaborate celebration started with an informative tour of this opulent royal palace followed by an opening speech delivered by Vice President of TAQA in Egypt Hossam Abu Seif, saying “I am deeply honored to stand before you today in this momentous occasion to celebrate the 20th anniversary of TAQA, which is not just a milestone for our company, but a significant regional achievement.”

“Let us collaborate to fuel not just the energy sector, but also to power communities, foster innovation, and create a sustainable future for all. Together, let’s build a legacy that generations will look back upon with respect and gratitude,” Abu Seif noted.

Taking place simultaneously in many regions,  including Saudi Arabia and the UAE, the celebration also live streamed an inspirational speech by Ahmed Al Zahrani, TAQA Chairman of the Board, stated “It is with a great sense of pride to welcome you to TAQA’s 20th anniversary, which we are hosting today from seven cities across the globe.”

World-renowned author and entrepreneur Tony Seba also gave a presentation via livestream on disruption and the evolution of energy and transportation. The presentation explained how the invention of cars caused a huge changes over a century, and how energy and transportation is expected to change in the coming years.

The audience was left both entertained and in awe with a live drones show virtually streamed from Abu Dhabi.

A celebration as elegant as this one could not have chosen a better way to conclude other than ending it on a high note with the talented soprano opera singer Amira Selim, well-known in both Paris and Egypt.
