The operation of the Farah well in the Meleiha region in the Western Desert has been completed with solar energy, as Tanmia Petroleum Company succeeded in implementing an integrated experiment in cooperation with leading international companies in this field, the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources said in a statement.

The Tanmia team has supervised the design, implementation, and follow-up in the fields to reach the best outcome.

Based on the success of this experience, most of the companies in the sector have been contacted to benefit from this cutting-edge approach.

This comes within the framework of achieving the strategic goals of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, in the energy transition and interest in renewable and clean energy projects, and reducing emissions in light of the success achieved by Egypt in organizing the climate conference.
