The Chairman of Suez Oil Processing Company Hesham Fathy stated that the company has produced about 2.2 million tons of petroleum products during the fiscal year (FY) 2022/23, which contributed to meeting part of the domestic market needs of various high-quality petroleum products.
He said that during the general assembly meeting of the company chaired by the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, to approve its annual operational results.
Also, he presented the investment plan of the company which included replacement and development projects in addition to health, safety, and environment (HSE).
Additionally, Fathy showcased the new expansion projects to establish carbonization and diesel production complex, 13 new warehouses for petroleum products in addition to the project of connecting the company’s warehouses to the refining and distribution companies RTG. Moreover, he elaborated on the company’s contributions to social development projects.
For his part, El Molla praised the success story of the company’s development noting that once the carbonization complex is completed, the working system at the refinery will be integrated and it will have a leading role in the region.
He added that the ministry’s plan for developing the refining sector was implemented at all levels including the development and rehabilitation of old units, expansion of establishing new units, upgrading HSE activities in addition to increasing social responsibility projects.
