SOPC Sites Undergo Inspection by EGPC Officials

Seeking to follow-up on the performance of various petroleum sites, Mohamed Ali Hassanein, EGPC’s Deputy Chairman for Refining and Manufacturing; and Eman El Shazly, EGPC’s Deputy Chairman Assistant for Refining, has made an inspection visit to the Suez Oil Processing Company (SOPC).

During the tour, Hesham Fathy, the company’s chairman, delivered a presentation on the work programs that the company is undertaking to raise its operational efficiency by implementing plans to develop and modernize all of the company’s production units.

SOPC is further implementing new investment projects, environmental compatibility initiatives, in addition to efforts to improve and rationalize energy consumption. The company is also developing occupational safety and health systems, the positive effects of which were reflected in improving performance efficiency and safety of operations, increasing production quantities, and effectively contributing to meeting part of the local market’s needs for various high-quality petroleum products.

Fathy added that the company is moving forward towards the digital transformation of work systems within the framework of a comprehensive program for development and modernization to confront global changes. This is in addition to provisions for follow-up and control of production processes within the state’s efforts for digital transformation as one of the main goals of Egypt’s Vision 2030.

The company also pays great attention to training the human element to maintain the desired performance of employees and the community participation of Suez residents.
