President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has instructed the government to step up efforts for developing the mining sector to be integrated with the strategic development vision of the country, a press release reported.
He called for the full administrative and financial governance of the entire system, including the contracts with international partners, to achieve the optimal exploitation of Egypt’s natural resources and preserve the state’s rights.
This came during El-Sisi’s meeting with the Prime Minister, Mostafa Madboluy, the Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), Tarek Amer, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, in addition to other senior governmental officials.
During the meeting, the President followed up on the implementation situation of the government’s plans and efforts for developing the mining sector.
During the meeting, the officials showcased the state’s efforts in this regard as well as the partnerships with the specialized foreign expertise in the mining especially the exploration of gold.
