Sahara International Petrochemical Company (Sipchem) announced that it has safely completed the periodic maintenance activities for the Acetic Acid Plant of the International Acetate Company (IAC), an affiliate of Sipchem, Mubasher reported.

The maintenance activities commenced on August 3 in order to enhance the reliability of production facilities and achieve the company’s future operational plans.

This financial impact will be reflected in Sipchem’s records for Q3 2019. Sipchem said that it has taken all the necessary precautions to avoid any negative impacts on its customers.

Sipchem recently signed a 20-year hydrogen supply agreement with Saudi Aramco Shell Refinery Company (SASREF) for future production operations that will begin in 2020.
