Ma Yongsheng, Sinopec’s chairman, stated that the company’s refineries are operating at a “fairly high” level to secure steady fuel supply in the country amid the global oil supply disruption due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Reuters reported.
“No matter how the market situation changes, Sinopec…is capable and determined to ensure oil product supply,” Yongsheng said in an interview with the China News Agency
According to Reuters, Beijing has requested state-owned refiners to think about pausing gasoline and diesel exports in April pointing to supply shortage fears due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
