Second Upstream Operational Excellence Convention to Kick-off December 2

Egypt Oil & Gas and the Egypt Oil & Gas Technical Committee are proud to announce that the 2nd Upstream Operational Excellence Convention will take place from December 2-4, held under the High Patronage of H.E. Eng. Tarek El Molla, Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.

The convention comes in line with the ministry’s Modernization Program and paves the way for professionals from public and private entities to meet together and share best practices for optimizing operations and increasing oil and gas production.

The three-day event will be held in Cairo at the Sky Executive Resort. Minister Tarek El Molla will participate in the conference, in addition to a host of prominent figures in the Egyptian oil and gas sector.

The conference aims to provide a chance for exchanging skills, ideas, and information. The event will feature three strategic panels and five technical workshops.

Panels are designed in a way that allows industry leaders to review topics that shapes the oil and gas sector and to answer crucial questions in the process. Moreover, the technical workshops will be run by respected players in the industry and will give updates on new technologies, showing engineers the skills they need to compete in the fast growing industry.

The conference will open with the Building a Sustainable Upstream Investment Climate panel, where industry experts will discuss ways to achieve investment sustainability in the upstream sector. The opening day will also feature three technical workshops: Unconventional Thinking for Production Enhancement, Field Best Practices, and New Technologies.

The second day will include two strategic panels – Joint Venture Company Modernization and Service Agreements for Mature Fields – in addition to two technical workshops: Asset Integrity and Health, Safety, Security, Environmental and Social Awareness (HSSES).

The third day is dedicated to empowering young professionals and fostering the talent needed to secure the industry’s future. The day will include a live coaching session, a panel discussion about retaining talent, and an oil and gas ideation workshop.

The convention’s Platinum Sponsors for this year’s conference are: Apache, Apex, Shell, Cheiron, and Transglobe Energy. DEA, and Maridive Oil Services are our Gold Sponsors; Silver Sponsors include Subsea 7 and Shawcor; and Sapesco and Schlumberger are Bronze Sponsors.
