SCZone, Maersk, Siemens Discuss Localizing Green Fuel Industry 

The Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone Authority (SCZone) Waleid Gamal El-Dien has met with the Head of Strategic Decarbonization Projects at Maersk Kai Fechner and Siemens Energy’s Managing Director in Egypt Layla El Hares to discuss ways to localize the green fuel industry.

Gamal El-Dien expressed his full support for the agreements that were signed in this regard, especially in the fields of technical support and feasibility studies.

Additionally, Fechner expressed his company’s ambition to implement this project noting the technical studies that are in progress to select the optimum sites for the project.

For her part, El Hares expressed her delight for the fruitful cooperation with SCZone affirming that Siemens is considering a number of technical factors to maximize the benefits of the zone’s resources and facilities.

This discussion session came in line with the cooperation and support provided by SCZone to its partners for green fuel industrialization projects.
