EcoDem, an Italian provider of environmental services, has signed a joint venture (JV) agreement with Saudi Drill Company to provide solutions and services in Saudi Arabia, Saudi Gazette reported.
According to the agreement, these solutions include decommissioning, reclamation, remediation, sludge treatment and metal recovery from waste.
Saudi Drill chairman Megren Al Khaldi commented on the agreement saying that“Saudi Drill vision is to establish its presence in Saudi Arabia in line with Saudi Aramco IKTVA’s aims to attract successful businesses and create job opportunities. We believe that EcoDem’s environmental services will be a great partner in adding significant value.”
“The industrial metal recovery industry in Saudi is expanding and we are excited to take part in it. Saudi has a reliable local talent pool that we can count on to reach our goals,” he added.
For his part, EcoDem CEO Raimondo Imbro said that“This joint venture will introduce a unique technology that recovers heavy metals from wastes of Soot Ash and Metal Cake in the Kingdom. This will create significant jobs and technology in the country as well as recycle valuable waste.”
The agreement is expected to support EcoDem’s international expansion and strengthen its footprint in Saudi Arabia and the region.
