Saudi Arabian Exports to China Rise

Saudi Arabia’s crude exports to China rose in October even as the Asian giant reduced oil imports, Platts reports.

With the higher exports, Saudi Arabia overtook its OPEC rival, Angola, and became the second biggest exporter of crude to China.

Chinese crude imports fell to 31.03 million tons, a 18.9% drop from September, according to Platts.

Russia maintained its position as the top crude exporter to China for the eighth month in a row despite its exports plummeting by 26.8% from almost 6.35 million tons in September to 4.65 million tons in October, according to Platts.

China’s September exports were close to record highs, Reuters reports.
