Saipem has been awarded two contracts worth $1.3 billion to develop Saudi Aramco’s offshore Berri and Marjan fields, Pipeline Oil and Gas Magazine reported.
Under these two contracts, Saipem will be responsible for the design, engineering, procurement, construction, installation and implementation of subsea systems, in addition to the laying of pipelines, subsea cables and umbilicals, platform decks and jackets.
The contracts are part of the long-term agreement for offshore activities in Saudi Arabia that was renewed in 2015 and will work until 2021.
The two offshore fields are located in the Arabian Gulf and considered among the most important offshore fields in the region.
