Roxtec Company has secured work on BP’s plans for the development of West Nile Delta natural gas output in Egypt, Bdaily reported.
Rotex supplied several specialist transits in order to secure cable entries, which enabled building onshore facilities and wall penetrations across the site, Roxtec UK Managing Director, Clive Sharp, stated, according to Maritime Executive.
Moreover, engineers from Roxtec’s office in Egypt provided on-site installation training to the fields’ instrumentation and electrical subcontractors.
The services provided by Rotec include “galvanised bolted Ex frames along with multi-cable and pipe transits. These were designed specifically for the gas industry in line with certification requirements to reduce the risk of fire, blast, weather, and other operational hazards,” Sharp pointed out.
“However, a core focus for this project centers on electro-magnetic pulse (EMP) protection. Our solution involves the installation of electro-magnetic compatibility EMC transits. These products provide safety and protection against electromagnetic interference and lightning strikes,” Sharp said.
Roxtec is the world-leading provider of flexible modular-based cable and pipe seals. The company’s invention for adaptability to cables and pipes of different sizes, Multidiameter™, is based on sealing modules with removable rubber layers.
