PMS Successfully Lays Electrical Cables for Developing Tenth Phase of WDDM Project

The Petroleum Marine Services Company (PMS) has announced that it successfully laid the electrical cables for developing the tenth phase of West Delta Deep Marine (WDDM) project affiliated to the Burullus Gas Company in cooperation with the strategic partner DeepTech company.

For the first time by using the marine units PMS MAYO and PMS Burullus in Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS) and using DeepTech WROVs, the company was able to complete the landing of two deep-water power cables at depths of up to 660 meters and at world-class landing rates.

The company also managed to update the marine unit PMS Mayo to become capable of laying cables in deep waters.

The project comes as a result of implementing PMS’ strategy to develop its marine units, expand its services, and enhance its competitive capabilities in the field of marine infrastructure, in addition to providing modern technologies that meet the needs of the growing local and global market for marine cable laying projects and deepwater projects.
