PM Follows Up on Petroleum Ministry Projects

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly met with the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla to review a number of initiatives that the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources is working on.

At the beginning of the meeting, Madbouly stressed the continued coordination and cooperation between the different country’s agencies in order to facilitate the necessary funds to provide the petroleum products needed by the domestic market in light of the current global crisis. 

For his part, El Molla discussed the ministry’s efforts to provide different petroleum products as well as the progress achieved to increase local production in addition to how it works to attract more discovery and exploration investments. 

During the meeting, El Molla pointed to the implemented procedures in the frame of achieving environmental compatibility in the different petroleum projects to preserve water resources and keep the environment safe.

He highlighted the latest progress of the trial operation of the wastewater treatment plant which has been opened recently at Al Amal Petroleum Company’s working site which is the first of its kind in Egypt and the Middle East.
