PM, El Molla Discuss Local Petroleum Market Strategy

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly held a meeting with Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla to follow up on plans to provide the needs of petroleum products. Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait participated in the meeting via video conference.

At the meeting‘s outset, Madbouly affirmed the continuation of cooperation and coordination between the various concerned state agencies to ensure the availability of various materials and petroleum products necessary for the vital productive and consumer sectors.

This ensures the permanent operation of industrial and production projects, in addition to providing the necessary petroleum materials to provide the required energy sources to meet various needs.

During the meeting, Madbouly reviewed the balances of various petroleum materials and products, and the volume of those products required to be provided through import, to work on providing it, and to provide the necessary financial requirements for it.

The meeting witnessed a review of the status of various oil and gas projects and efforts to attract more local and foreign investments to carry out more exploration and production operations.

This is in addition to projects related to the petrochemical sector, which would contribute to enhancing opportunities for maximizing the added value of what Egypt possesses.
