Alexandria Petroleum Maintenance Company (Petromaint) has completed all repair work and the trial operation of its heat exchangers, adopting self-implementation systems and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

This came as part of an effort to boost the industry and the standards of maintenance locally by saving time, effort and foreign currency in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources (MoPMR) and the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC).

Petromaint has thus demonstrated that Egypt is technically qualified and has highly competent personnel to carry out specific and specialized tasks, relying entirely on local resources.

The delicate repair work was finished in a timely, efficient manner. As a result, the Middle East Oil Refinery (MIDOR) did not have to send the equipment abroad for repair or bring in foreign experts.
