On the sidelines of Egypt Energy Show EGYPES 2024, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla has attended the signing of an agreement for the establishment of a hospital for critical cases and emergencies in Assiut Governorate.

This agreement, which reflects the Petroleum Sector’s social responsibility, comes within Egypt’s 2030 vision for sustainable development. It also aims to enhance the sector’s contribution to community development activities in poor areas and to provide health services to vulnerable citizens in Upper Egypt.

The project will involve the construction of a hospital for critical cases and emergencies within the campus of Al-Iman General Hospital in Assiut. It will also focus on ensuring the continuity and sustainability of providing high-quality medical services and care to the people of Assiut and neighboring governorates.

This project aims to improve health services and medical care and to add critical surgeries, such as brain and heart surgeries to this hospital. The agreement includes conducting training programs for doctors and nurses.

The agreement was signed by Ahmed Eid, Chairman of the Nile Petroleum Marketing Company, and Mohamed Hafez, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Assiut.
