Petroleum Ministry Increases Petroleum Products in the Market

The Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum is preparing for Ramadan through increasing the petroleum products amounts pumped into the local market by 15 to 20%, while placing extensive monitoring on distribution from refineries to final distribution stations, an official source at the ministry told Al Mal Newspaper.

The ministry’s plan includes boosting the pumped amounts of butane, gasoline and diesel to cover the growing demands of the local market, the source noted.

Egypt pumps around 28 million liters of gasoline; between 44 million and 45 million liters of diesel; and 1 million butane cylinders per day.

The source highlighted the stable production of derivatives from refineries as well as the regularity in receiving imported shipments according to schedule.
