Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla held a meeting to follow up on the Alexandria Mineral Oil Company’s (AMOC) plans to implement a number of projects to raise operational efficiency and develop production performance.
El Molla stated that the company’s current performance indicators confirm that it is on the right track given the current global economic conditions.
He encouraged the continuation and rapid implementation of development, modernization and maintenance programs in the company’s projects and units. El Molla also urged to work on developing a vision for future projects and activities.
During the meeting, Amr Lotfy, Chairman of AMOC, reviewed the tangible development in its role in meeting part of the needs of the local market in terms of basic petroleum products, especially diesel, diesel, butane, and naphtha for the production of gasoline and essential oils.
Lotfy reviewed the implementation of projects that took place last year, most importantly flare gas recovery efforts.
The projects also included one set to raise the efficiency of the steam and condensate network to save resource consumption, a lightning protection systems project, and an ERP digital transformation system.
