Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla has held talks with Baker Hughes CEO Lorenzo Simonelli at ADIPEC 2023, where they discussed ways of strengthening cooperation in the field of designing and implementing petroleum projects in the light of the company’s investment plan in Egypt.

The meeting addressed presentation for the Baker Hughes’ projects in energy transition and flare gas recovery in the frame of preserving the environment and achieving sustainable development. 

This is in addition to reviewing projects proposed within the Egyptian petroleum sector’s action plan to reduce carbon from oil and gas production facilities that were prepared through a carbon reduction consortium which Baker Hughes participates in alongside a number of local and international companies.

For his part, El Molla called on Baker Hughes to share its activities in energy transition during the Egypt Energy Show (EGYPES) 2024.
