The Petroleum Projects and Technical Consultations Company (PETROJET) secured local and international contracts with a total value of EGP121 in Egypt and international markets in 2025, compared to EGP 112 billion in 2024, Chairman Waleed Lotfy told the company’s general assembly meeting.
Lotfy said the company continued to strengthen its position as a global contractor for project execution despite global and regional challenges, geopolitical volatility, and exceptional conditions affecting the contracting industry.
During the meeting, Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, commended PETROJET’s role in the connection and operation of regasification vessels, which helped secure gas supplies for all sectors across the country.
Lotfy presented PETROJET’s key results for 2025, noting that the company has secured future business contracts worth EGP 246 billion through 2029.
He added that PETROJET continued to break into new areas of business during 2025, including nuclear energy projects, becoming the first Egyptian company to participate in the Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant. The company is also participating in the giant NEOM project in Saudi Arabia, alongside the expansion of its regional footprint through partnerships with several firms and increasing its presence to 28 countries.
On mitigating operational risks and safety, PETROJET obtained the SCC safety certification, qualifying it to work as a contractor in European countries. It has also implemented a package of initiatives to strengthen occupational safety, health, and environmental protection (HSE) at worksites. Moreover, PETROJET has completed the construction of the Safety and Risk Management School in Ain Sokhna, in cooperation with the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), Bechtel, and UK bp.
The company is currently establishing two new manufacturing centers in Alamein and El-Tebbin, while it already operates centers outside Egypt in Iraq and the UAE, in addition to a new center under construction in Saudi Arabia.
Lotfy pointed out that the company is currently working on a new five-year plan for 2027–2031, aimed at sustaining growth and enhancing PETROJET’s competitiveness at both the regional and international levels.
